I had the amazing opportunity to take part in the mentorship with Alexandre Leoni, organised by Lunar Academy.
Throughout these weeks I worked on the pirate card illustration, exploring not only the final artwork but also the design behind it, and honestly, the whole process felt like reconnecting with a side of myself I had been missing.
I didn’t join this mentorship only to grow as an artist, but also to find my spark again to paint like I used to and to feel excited about it. In our day-to-day work we don’t always get to choose what to draw or fully follow our own ideas (the “the client wants this” life!), and that’s totally part of the job. But it’s also refreshing to return to our roots, sit down, create something we truly enjoy, and share that moment.
Time has flown by, and I’ve valued every second.
